Unsere Einrichtung
Unser viergruppiges Montessori-Kinderhaus Lumper Höhe liegt etwa
1 Kilometer außerhalb der Innenstadt im Ravensburger Osten.
Eine Bushaltestelle und Parkplätze gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe und mit dem Fahrrad sind wir gut
von der Innenstadt über die neue Fahrradbrücke über die Wangener Straße zu erreichen. Wiesen,
Wälder und verschiedene Spielplätze sind in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen.
Unsere Gruppenräume sind lichtdurchflutet und durch offene Regale fein strukturiert, welche mit
dem Montessori-Material bestückt sind.
Bereiche für Rollenspiele, Bauen, eine Leseinseln und die Küchenzeilen ergänzen das Angebot für
die Kinder in ihren Gruppenräumen.
Für das Mittagessen bietet das Haus eine eigene KinderMensa, in der alle genügend Platz und
Ruhe für das Essen finden.
Im Mehrzweckraum leben wir unser Bewegungsbedürfnis aus und nutzen ihn für vielfältige
Aktivitäten wie Musik, Theater und Rollenspiele.
Im Ruheraum finden die Kinder Zeit und Muße, neue Energie zu tanken, um dann ausgeruht
wieder in den Kita-Alltag zurück kehren zu dürfen.
Jahreszeiten und die Bedürfnisse der Kinder prägen unsere Angebote im kreativen Bereich.

Montessori education is an educational concept that is directly oriented toward the child and consistently takes the child’s needs and interests into account.

Key ideas and guiding principles include:

• Engaging with the child in their current situation.
• Recognizing the child’s personality and dignity.
• Accepting the child as they are, not as they should be.
• Providing support to solve problems creatively.
• Educating towards responsibility, compassion, and peace.

We understand that the challenge of community-based work lies in connecting the old and new residential neighborhoods and their residents.

All children — in all their diversity and backgrounds, linguistic – cultural – social, shall be accompanied with equal appreciation, their strengths supported, and their weaknesses lovingly acknowledged, with the goal of modeling a respectful and harmonious coexistence in all its diversity.

To support this, parents must be involved and included. Celebrations within the childcare center or across facilities, as well as a parent café as a place of encounter, are just as important as brief chats with individual parents.
